Block Print Knitwear Sketches

I recently made some knitwear sketches that I used the block printing strategy on. I started by making a regular pencil sketch. I then carved the design onto a thick block which was then coated in paint. Once covered lightly with paint I would gently press down on colored paper so a painted outline of my sketch appears. I then separately cutout each part of the sketch (skirt, top, hair etc.) and pasted it on the croquis I made to create the full look. I used metallic paint, water colors and colored pencils to create these looks.
